Colin Smith

Originally from New Jersey, USA, Colin Smith is a writer and translator specializing in the arts. Fresh off the boat in 1998 with little knowledge of Osaka and less proficiency in Japanese, he became enchanted with the colorful atmosphere of his neighborhood in Asahi Ward, and has happily called the city home (almost) ever since. Colin has been a regular contributor to Kansai Time Out, Kansai Scene, and Artscape Japan, and his translations appear in many museum and gallery publications in Japan and overseas.
